Valerie brings over a decade in canine handling and care to her offerings. Prior to founding Fur & Ferns in 2020, she worked in a variety of spaces, from boarding facilities to independent pet stores.

Her approach is nature-minded and holistic, understanding canine wellness as a balance of nutrition, genetics, daily rhythm, and intentional connection. She supports owners in seeing their dog as a whole, unique being and making more confident, intuitive decisions in everyday life.

Through virtual coaching, club memberships, and presence within community, she seeks to guide canine guardians by enlightening them to the path their dog is already nudging them towards, and equipping them to walk it together.
